The Cream Xuxo is a delicacy originally from Girona that was born in the decade of the 20s. Made from fried croissant dough and filled with pastry cream, it's an intoxicating dessert in every way.

The Xuxo dough is like that of the croissant, it is made from puff pastry rich in top quality Corman butter. The texture is delicate, with a rich and noble taste, handmade. The other ingredients are: wheat flour, sugar, salt, yeast, milk and egg for painting. The result is a superlative experience: crispy sheets, soft crumb and honeycombed, melts in your mouth.

Once we have the dough done, fill the croissant with pastry cream and freeze. It will be a classic pastry cream, made from milk, sugar, organic eggs, cornstarch, vanilla and a touch of lemon.

Once we have thawed the xuxo, we fill it again with pastry cream and finish fermenting it. When fermentation is optimal, fry it in sunflower oil until golden. Finally, we will coat it generously with sugar.

You can enjoy it for breakfast or at any sweet time of the day. An authentic delicacy that you can find every weekend in the store.
